Raúl González Blanco is a Spanish football manager and former footballer who played as a striker. He is the current manager of Real Madrid Castilla. Raúl is considered to be one of the most important players in Real Madrid's history. He is regarded as one of the great Spanish players of all time and one of the best. He played for the local youth team before joining Atletico Madrid youth team. He then moved on to Real Madrid youth team and played at various levels. He signed his first professional contract with the fourth division team Real Madrid C and then was swiftly promoted to the first team.

He spent 16 years with Los Blancos. He is currently the second all-time goalscorer with 323 goals. He is the most capped player in the history of Real Madrid with 742 appearances. In Real Madrid, he won six La Liga titles, three UEFA Champions League, scoring two goals in the final. He was captain of the team and retained that position until he departed from the club (2003-2010). In 2010 Raul left the club for Schalke 04 and won 2 titles for them. In 2012 he signed for Qatari club Al Slade and made 39 appearances by scoring 11 goals. Later in 2014, he ended his career by moving to New York Cosmos after winning a domestic treble. He made 28 appearances and scored 8 goals in New York Cosmos.

In La Liga, Raul is the fifth-highest goalscorer in the history of the competition with 228 goals. He is also the highest Spanish footballer scorer in European Leagues with 256 goals scoring 228 goals in la Liga and 28 goals in the Bundesliga. He has also played 1,000 matches in his career, making him one of only 18 players to have achieved this landmark.

Unfortunately by seeing these stats, he couldn't win any major competitions while playing for his national team Spain. He scored 44 goals in 102 appearances. He played for 3 FIFA WORLD CUPS and two European Championships. He was captain for his country from 2002-2006, the year in which he played his last international match for Spain. Raúl was named the best striker in the world by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics in 1999. Raúl González Blanco spent 18 years as professional Footballer and has zero red cards.
