Michael Owen is an English professional footballer who played as a striker for many big clubs like Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Real Madrid and Stoke City. Micheal Owen youth club was Liverpool. He made his debut with Senior team of Liverpool in 1996 till 2004. For Liverpool, he made 216 appearances and scored 118 goals and was also considered as the Liverpool Legend until he joined Rival team Manchester United in 2009 where he wore the legendary number 7. In his first season with Liverpool, he finished as joint top scorers with 18 goals. He also had a recurring hamstring injury. In 2001 where Liverpool won a cup treble of the UEFA Cup, FA Cup and Football League Cup. Owen was the recipient of the Ballon d'Or. Owen never managed to score 20 league goals in one season though but he still had scored 118 league goals for Liverpool and 158 total at the age of 24.

Michel Owen left Liverpool in 2004 and joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2004 for £8 million. In Real Madrid, he was frequently used as a substitute. He scored 13 goals in 36 appearances. He only played a season at Real Madrid and joined Newcastle United in 2005 for £16.8 million where he made 71 appearances and scored 26 goals. In 2006 after promising start to the 2005-06 season with Newcastle United he suffered a big injury and was ruled out for 18 months. After his return, he became the captain and was also the top scorer for the 2007-08 season. Newcastle was relegated in 2008-09 season and moved to Manchester United as a free agent. He spent 3 years at Manchester United till 2012 and made 31 appearances and scored 5 goals. Many believe the reason why Micheal Owen couldn't score was the Manchester United curse of number 7. In 2012 he joined Stoke City. Owen was one of the nine players to score 150 or more Goals in Premier League history and is at no.10 for top scorer in Premier League. On 19 March 2013 Owen announced his retirement from professional football at end of the 2012-2013 season. He made 362 appearances for clubs and scored 163 goals. His most memorable moment for the Red Devils as he scored memorable in Manchester Derby in the dying minute of the game.

Micheal Owen has won a Ballon d'Or in 2001. He was also two time top scorer in 98/99 and 97/98 season. He won his first Premier League title with Manchester United in 2011 which made Liverpool fans hating him. In 2001 he won one FA Cup and one English League Cup Winner. In 2001 he also won UEFA Cup Winner and UEFA Supercup Winner in 01/02 season. In 2002 he won an English Super Cup Winner with Liverpool and one English League Cup Winner in 2003. With Manchester United, he won one English League Cup and one English Super Cup, Winner.
