Didier Drogba is an Ivorian retired professional footballer who played for clubs like Marseille, Chelsea, Shanghai, Galatasaray. He is the all-time top scorer and former captain of the Ivory Coast national team. He played as a striker. He is one of the best Striker in Premier League history. He is well-known for his career spent at Chelsea and also he is regarded as one of Chelsea's greatest players. He was also named in the Chelsea team of the 2010-20 decade by the Chelsea fans. He was also named the African Footballer of the Year twice and winning the accolade in 2006 and 2009. His first senior career team was Le Mans. He played one season each in Guingamp 2002-03 and Marseille 2003-2004. His career raised high at Chelsea 2004-2012. He played 226 matches and scoring 100 goals. In 2012 he left Chelsea for Shanghai Shenhua for one season and in 2013 he went to Galatasary the Turkish side club. In 2014 he came back to Chelsea and he scored 4 goals in 28 appearances His last club as a professional footballer was at Phoenix Rising and scored 14 goals in just 22 matches.

In 2004 July, Drogba moved to Premier League club Chelsea for club-record £24 million fees, making him the first expensive Ivorian player in history. In his first season, he helped Chelsea to win the first league title in 50 years. And a year later he won another Premier League title. He was also named in FIFA WORLD XI for 2007. He became the first African player to score 100 Premier League goals on March 2012. Just two months later he scored in Chelsea 2012 FA Cup final against Liverpool and became the first player to score in four separate FA Cup finals. He also scored the 88th-minute equaliser in 2012 UEFA Champions League and winning the deciding shoot out against Bayern Munich.
Drogba has a career record of scoring 10 goals in 10 finals winning 10 trophies at club level.
He was also referred to as the ultimate big-game player. Drogba became the player owner of the Phoenix Rising of the United Soccer League in 2017 and retired a year later at the age of 40.

In December 2018 he became the Vice President of the international organisation Peace and Sport.
Many of them don't know but Drogba helped to end a civil war. He is credited with playing an important role in bringing peace to his county. After the Ivory Coast qualified for 2006 World Cup by defeating Sudan on 8 October 2005, Drogba made a desperate plea to the combatants, asking them to lay down their arms and a plea which was answered with a cease-fire after 5 years of Civil war.

Drogba's charity work continued wherein 2009 he announced he would be donating the £3 million signings on a fee for his endorsement of Pepsi for the construction of a hospital in his hometown of Abidjan.

African King is 2 times African Footballer Of The Year. Four times Top Scorer and One time Player Of The Year in 03/04 season. Four times Footballer Of The Year. With Chelsea, he won 4 English Champion, One UEFA Champions League, Four English FA Cup and Three times English League Cup Winner and 4 English Super Cup winner. For Galatasary SK he earned 1 Turkish Champion, 1 Turkish Cup Winner and One Turkish Super Cup
