Alessandro Del Piero is an Italian former professional footballer who mainly played as a second striker. Some other positions he played were attacking midfielder and centre forward. Since 2015 he is working as a Sky Sports Italia pundit. Del Piero is a creative supporting forward who was also a free-kick specialist and one of the best Italian player of all time. He also wins the Serie A Italian Footballer Of The Year award in 1998 and 2008

His youth clubs were San Vendemiano and Padova. His first debut as professional was with Padova in 1991. He joined Juventus in 1993 and played 19 seasons and 11 seasons as Juventus Captian. Del Piero is currently the second-highest all-time Italian top scorer in all competitions with 346 goals behind only Silvio Piola with 390 goals. He left Juventus in 2012 and joined Australian side club Sydney FC; he retired after season with Delhi Dynamos FC in the Indian Super League in 2014 where he made 10 appearances and scored 1 goal.

In May 2006 Juventus got relegated to Serie B for the first time in its history.
